A warm village on the Golden Circle

Fludir is a small farming village in the south, set among fields warmed by the geothermal water that runs just beneath them. Rows of greenhouses light up the evenings, the oldest swimming pool in Iceland steams away on the edge of town, and the whole place has an easy, unhurried warmth.
